First-hand experience working in Africa, South America, Middle East, Central Asia and Asia Pacific, he brings an international mindset to engagement, has established national local content and localisation programmes, and advises major Corporates and an old-established law firm.

He has contributed regularly to proceedings on international affairs, addressing many challenging issues of the day, and has served as Chair of Trade and Investment & Future of Freight and Logistics parliamentary groups. Waverley has received State decorations from Colombia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, and been honoured with a Yoruba Chieftaincy in Nigeria.
